Town Hall

Dunstable's second town hall, erected in 1880 after its predecessor caught fire. The frontage incorporated parts of the previous building which had survived. The town hall was a centre of town activities until it closed in the 1960s. It included, upstairs, a borough council chamber which also served as the Dunstable Magistrates and Coroner's court. The hall itself was used for bazaars, flower shows, dinners, plays and election counts.
